The fear of mediocrity

Satisfaction. Satisfaction of where you are in life? Do you have it? If yes, then either you are super rich or a saint. Most of us are living the life to make it better. What a vicious circle. We are giving away the asset which we want to improve. How ironic.

Like most of you, I suffer from the fear of mediocrity. The fear to live a compromised life. It may not affect or day to day life or we don't realize it has taken over our day to day routine, but it is there. The struggle, the desperation, the fight, to improve, to reach a higher level, is itself tearing us apart.

We satisfied because we are not reaching where we desired and we have fear because we are satisfied.

Those who break the loop of routine get ahead or behind us, they are the fearless. They have taken their chances and we are waiting here for ours. Will waiting be worth it? Who knows. Will quitting be worth it? Who knows. What will remain is the fear, whether you get out or not. Because there is always something higher to achieve.

Regret is the opposite of satisfaction, but the absence of satisfaction is not regret. We may be standing between the two. Longer we stand there, we are  automatically inclined towards regret.

So let's move, may be in the right direction. What's your direction?
